About Me

Hi I am Joel Tan, a student in Singapore Management University School of Computing and Information Systems.

In the army, I was in the artillery unit and was assigned to the Singapore Light Weight Howitzer (SLWH). It was a very fulfilling experience as it brought people from all walks of life into the same unit to live and conquer the different challenges outfield together. Although it was high risk, it was an exciting period in my life.

I have always been fascinated about the world of technology. Having built my computer in 2018, and reading about how 3D printers were used to create weapons of mass destruction. These were the ignition key for me to grow even more interested in technology.

In my free time, I love to play sports! From Rugby, to frisbee to even racquet sports like badminton or Squash. I find it really enjoyable to be around the company of my friends and having fun together. During the semester, when things get stressful, I tend to just take 30 minutes off my schedule to go for a run.
